Energea started in 2017 with a single solar farm in Connecticut and a conviction that retail investors were being shut out of the best-performing asset class of the energy transition. Nine years later, we own and operate renewable infrastructure across five countries, and the same individual investors who couldn't access this market in 2017 hold positions alongside our institutional partners.
Every project in the Energea catalogue is one we developed, financed, or operate ourselves. We don't bundle third-party deal flow into a fund and charge a fee for selection — we are the developer, the owner, and the operator. That alignment is the entire point.
Our Team
The People Behind Energea
Mike Silvestrini is a seasoned renewable energy professional with a longstanding commitment to environmental sustainability. He has played a central role in developing over 500 solar projects across the United States, Brazil, and Africa — contributing meaningfully to the global transition to clean energy.
Prior to Energea, Mike co-founded and served as CEO of Greenskies Renewable Energy LLC. What began with a desk in a basement and a $25,000 check grew into one of the country's largest commercial and industrial solar firms before his exit in 2016.
As Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Energea, Mike draws on his deep industry experience to expand access to renewable energy investments worldwide. His tenured career and unwavering focus on solar infrastructure position him as an expert in the industry across multiple global markets.
Outside of Energea, Mike serves on the board of the Big Life Foundation, which protects 1.6 million acres of wilderness in East Africa. His work supports community-based conservation and initiatives that preserve biodiversity through sustainable practices.
Chris is an experienced leader in energy and private markets with a proven track record of building and scaling investment platforms.
Before founding Energea, he co-founded North American Power, a retail energy company that grew to more than one million customers and was acquired by one of the largest energy asset owners in North America. He later served as CEO of IVI Energia, a Brookfield-owned distributed generation platform in Brazil, where he originated and structured transactions that advanced Brookfield's renewable energy strategy in Latin America.
As Founder and Managing Partner of Energea, Chris has expanded the firm's global platform, leveraging deep expertise in energy origination, structuring, and capital raising to meet the growing demand for alternative income strategies. Under his leadership, Energea is positioned at the intersection of energy infrastructure and private markets, delivering institutional-grade opportunities designed for wealth managers and their clients.
Chris earned his degree in Real Estate and Urban Economics from the University of Connecticut and completed the Program for Leadership Development at Harvard Business School. He is also a CAIA Charterholder, reflecting his commitment to excellence in alternative-investment management.
Gray serves as Managing Partner at Energea, contributing senior leadership across the firm's investment platform and operating portfolio.
Isabella is a highly skilled corporate lawyer specializing in cross-border M&A transactions, with expertise in drafting and negotiating complex contracts and corporate acts across various sectors, including energy, oil & gas, and infrastructure.
Previously, Isabella worked as an associate in the Energy Group at Deloitte and Mayer Brown in Brazil, where she managed regulatory, contractual, and corporate matters related to the development of renewable energy projects.
She earned her law degree from Fundação Getulio Vargas in Brazil and holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Chicago, further enriching her legal expertise and global perspective.
